PRIVATE ANALYSIS OF MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS Syllabus

You spent hours, weeks, months or maybe years writing your composition. Now what? Is it really good or do you just think it is? Private Analysis of Musical Compositions offers you the opportunity to get objective analysis of your work by a professional composer, arranger and musician. Vince's critical and constructive analysis is not for the timid. His personal one-on-one approach will enable you to construct a stronger composition. But most of all, through Vince's coaching you will be able to spot flaws and correct them�all leading toward a successful and more marketable composition.

Prerequisite

The student should be able to arrange and compose music for voices, instruments, or a combination thereof.

The advanced student may submit musical scores (original or arrangements) for any combination of voices and instruments for analysis and feedback.

Professional evaluation and feedback will vary with each score.

Written comments will include and not be limited to:

• Form
• Chordal Structures
• Prosody (Matching words and music)
• Ranges if Voices or Instruments
• Orchestration
• Development Procedures
• Copyright Protection
• Suggestions for Performance or Publication
