Music Theory 2 Syllabus
Music Theory 2 builds upon the skills mastered in Music Theory 1. You will enhance your understanding of diatonic chords, harmonic sequences, modulation, harmony and melody in minor keys, suspensions, pedal-point, four-part harmony, cadences, inversions, and secondary chords. All concepts in these lessons are essential skills to be mastered at the intermediate level. The worksheets and review quizzes will assist you in defining your proficiency level.
Each lesson comes with its worksheet and reviews quizzes when applicable.
Prerequisite
The student should have successfully completed Music Theory 1 or have gained a working knowledge of rudiments of music.
Materials Needed
Keyboard and access to Sibelius music software program.
