Jazz Arranging 1 Syllabus

(Arranging for Small Groups: 1-3 Horns and Rhythm Section)

Jazz Arranging 1 is specifically designed for the serious student who wants to arrange on the professional level. The student will have on-line direct contact with Vince Corozine, the instructor who is an accomplished arranger and composer with years of experience as a jazz musician. Under Vince's tutelage, the student will find this course challenging and rewarding.

Prerequisite

The student should have a working knowledge and understanding of the concepts presented in Music Theory 1, 2, and 3 and Jazz Theory.

Materials Needed

Keyboard and access to Sibelius music software program. Worksheets and review quizzes as needed.

Textbook: Arranging Music for the Real World

Assignments will be given with each chapter and the work will be tailored to fit the needs of the student.
